Leaving London is never a hard thing to do: escaping all the beauty and history seems a necessity after a few days. My nervous system completely overloaded, I head for the countryside or (even better) the seaside. Where better to go than Bristol?
The journey doesn't take that long and it's impossible to keep your eyes dry, overlooking the landscape and concluding that it is no use trying to escape your senses in this country. I am swept away by memories that must originate from former lives... It's like I never left the places that I pass.
The regular humming of the train-engine makes dozing of into magic imagery even more accessible. So I let myself get carried away once more. I'm like a sponge that soaks up history to the point of almost drowning. But it's the best of emotions! I guess I feel at home in Britain, especially when I'm making a railroad-trip. Please don't ever stop - and I'll promise to be a poet.
