With many trains expected to be very busy, if you are travelling long distances then it is recommended that you reserve a seat to ensure a comfortable journey

On Christmas Eve, the rail network shuts down earlier than normal so please be sure to check the time of your last train.  There are no train services running on Christmas Day except for Gatwick Express (half-hourly bus service between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport from 06:30) and Heathrow Express (half-hourly train service between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport from 05:30 until 14:00. After 14:00 a half-hourly bus service will run.)
