BritRail Pass the only way to Go!Vance Ormes ,United StatesFebruary 26, 2013
I used a BritRail Pass for the first time this past summer (2012). I was very pleased with the ease of use and the on-time performance for all the trains I rode. I felt it was absolutely the perfect way to relax and see the British countryside. At one point, I had planned to take a coach from point A to point B, but based on my positive rail experience, I chose to travel by train instead. Staff members in each of the train stations I visited were very helpful and answered all my questions promptly and politely. More than once I found myself seated next to someone with whom I chatted easily and pleasantly for the duration of the train ride. Other times I just enjoyed watching the view roll by. Only once was there even the slightest time issue: a matter of being 8 minutes late, and we travelers received numerous apologies for the tardiness. Here in the U.S., Amtrak is more likely to run 8 hours late and never apologize at all. I can highly recommend not only train travel in the UK but by using the BritRail Pass, I saved myself both time and money. A win-win situation!

Best decision prior to leaving!Anne ,AustraliaAge: 50-59February 22, 2013
When we arrived at Adelaide airport to leave for London, I realised our 2 First Class Brit rail passes had been left at home. Luckily my partner Andrew (who wasn't travelling with us) sped home, found them & got them to us before we had to go through Customs & to the departure lounge. These passes were brilliant - able to hop on the trains & not worry about booking seats & enjoyed travelling in comfort.

Have a truly English ExperienceCarla Waterman ,USAAge: 50-59February 14, 2013
This was my second trip through England via BritRail, and I have no intention of going any other way in the future. I was traveling alone on a Low Season First Class Flex ticket. As I hopped on and off trains I met delightful people, was gently corrected in my pronunciation of various places, and showered with wonderful advice as to what to see, whether in Cambridge, Newcastle or York. I not only got places in style, but I experienced the pride and helpfulness of the English people along the way. I was so impressed with the ease and friendliness on BritRail, and will be back again as soon as possible.

The Flexibility to use the pass on any train is particularly valuable; if you like a place you can tour/visit until the next train arrives. We like the online train schedule too. Peter & Joyce

What a great experience!Ron R. ,USAAge: 50-59February 08, 2013
Our family had an fabulous time using the consecutive 8-day England pass. We highly recommend paying a little more for first class if you want easier access to group seating. If you have long trips, and want to get seats together, I recommend making seat reservations a day or two in advance at the train station (no cost if you do this at the station). The trains were clean, on time, and attendants were wonderful. Once getting used to the web site trip-router, I found it to be very helpful in planning our daily trip options. There is no better way to see England, and we hope to do this again soon!!!

Good way to travel.David Wharton ,AustraliaAge: 60+February 04, 2013
I heard about this from my travel agent and after comparing prices with different services decided to purchase to try out for 4 journeys in England. No problems at all in using it and will use it again when visiting later in 2013. I have suggested using it also to my sister and brother-in-law when they visit the UK.

Home sweet home!Karen Schuegraf ,CanadaAge: 50-59February 02, 2013
I was born and raised in England, and enjoy any and every opportunity to return to visit with my many family and friends. As my time is limited, this means staying at most 2 or 3 nights in any one location, and the Britrail England pass makes it so easy for me to hop on the train in one location, and travel comfortably to my next location whenever it is convenient for my hosts and hostesses, and without a reservation. It works for me.

8 days Britrail PassMario De Gasperi ,ItalyAge: 50-59February 02, 2013
Last summer I spent a holiday in England with my family. We travelled across the country with a 8 consecutive days Britrail Pass; everything 's been wonderful. We travelled without any stress and we've been able to reach every place we wanted to visit, regardless of weather condition, parking, traffic etc. and enjoying a grand view of country landscape, as well. I think it's a grand way of visiting England.
