Best way to travelSteve Chute ,USAAge: 60+February 10, 2013
I have been buying this pass for many trips to England. It was the Southeast Pass when I first used it back in 1998. Since then the airport express vouchers have been added which is a tremendous addition. I visit London with my father and we have visited many wonderful places using the London Plus Pass. We have been to Canterbury, Dover, Brighton, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Salisbury, Basingstoke, Hastings, Rye, Cambridge, Ely, Kings Lynn, Harwich, Colchester, Oxford, Worcester, Bristol, and many others. We have hired an auto in the past but much prefer to travel by train. We find that we can get close to many attractions we wish to visit. Usually with a short walk or taxi ride and we can get anywhere we choose. I always recommend the London Plus rail pass for friends and family visiting London.

Great wa to travelJohn Williamson ,United States of AmericaAge: 60+February 07, 2013
After renting a car for five trips to the UK, we used a rail pass last year. It was so nice to see more than a white line in the road. On arrival in London, we rode to Bath for three days - including a day to Bristol to see that cathedral, thence to Salisbury for two days, and back to London. Whilst staying in London, we took days trips to Canterbury and Rochester. The new high speed trains were spectacular. The only question for our next visit is whih railpass to purchase.

Härlig resa! (Lovely trip)Charlott ,SwedenAge: 40-49February 03, 2013
Härlig resa! (Lovely trip) Gatwick - Portsmouth - Stonehenge - Bath - Oxford - Stratford - London - Gatwick - England was lovely in august 2012! Trains were on time, there were always lots of space, we had great chats with other travellers, helpful service, nice coffee, wonderful views, easy to plan "a tour". In Britain the trainservice is a lot better than in Sweden! We will go back soon to have a new experience!

wonderful experienceLinda Mullins ,USAAge: 60+January 27, 2013
I have been to London before, but wanted to experience sights I had not included previously. The rail offered that opportunity. Trains were clean, efficent and offered scenic views of the countryside. Customer service at Paddington Station was friendly and helpful. I would rate British Rail a five star all around and plan to take the Orient Express on my next visit.

Great Experience!Jane ,usaAge: 50-59January 26, 2013
I've been to London multiple times and just went again in May. Since we were staying for two weeks and had seen a lot of central London, we decided to purchase BritRail London Plus Passes so we could make some day trips further afield. What a great experience! We loved the flexibility and options that the pass afforded us and look forward to using other BritRail pass options in the future.

Excellent Customer ServiceRichard Billingsley ,USAAge: 50-59January 25, 2013
I loved traveling by train during my first trip to the UK. When I got to my destination, I realized I was missing something. My suitcase! I was so tired and distracted to be there that I walked off with out it. I informed the station agent who called the last station. I caught the connecting train back to the last station. There was my suitcase waiting for me! Thank you to all the employees of Southern Rail. I enjoyed a wonderful trip and great customer service. I wish USA train travel met this standard.

Three QueensC. Heiden ,USAAge: 60+January 25, 2013
During our summer holiday we visited London and southern England. Our train travels took us to Southampton where we visited the Southampton Maritime Museum where we learned more about the people who sailed the great ships. We had hoped to see at least one liner in port but the day we were there we had the rare opportunity to see three queens. Queens Victoria, Elizabeth 3, and Mary 2 were in port on the same day, and processed out to sea in a grand pass-in-review. We later found out that this was the only time they were all scheduled to be there together for a year. It was quite a show. We took the ferry to Isle of Wight and sailed through sailboats practicing for the Olympics. We also rode the IOW train which is an ex-London tube train.

Great wat to ExploreJudy Shaw ,CanadaAge: 50-59January 24, 2013
Our rail pass let us explore without the hassle of making advance reservation. The trains were comfortable and convenient. Just wish we could go to a concession car to buy food etc rather than having a tea trolley come by. Loved getting the Heathrow Express included!

Enjoyable experienceJ S Riordon ,CanadaAge: 60+January 24, 2013
My wife and I travelled from London to Worcester via BritRail, and were impressed with the pleasant decor and on-time performance of the trains. We also appreciate the fact that we can take the fast train from Heathrow to Paddington on the pass. We used to take the first class tickets, but have found in recent years that the extra cost is not warranted.
