Exit train station walking downhill past bike racks. After bikes take the pedestrian crossing across the road. Keeping the Saïd Business School on your left, continue up this road (Hythe Bridge Street) until you get to a large junction with traffic lights. Follow pavement round to the left until you reach another set of traffic lights. Take the pedestrian crossing across the road to Beaumont Street. The Ashmolean is the neoclassical building on the left. Admission is free, no booking required.
