Ayr and Alloway

Ayr
Located on Scotland’s beautiful west coast, just 37 miles from Glasgow, Ayr is a lovely seaside town popular with families and golfers.

Alloway
Ayr's neighbouring village of Alloway is famed as the home of Robert Burns, Scotland’s National Bard.

Robert Burns
Whether or not you’re familiar with the bard’s work, a trip to the fantastic Robert Burns Birthplace Museum is a must on any visit to Ayrshire. Discover his life and legacy via interactive exhibits, see the cottage where he was born, or stroll around the Burns Monument and Garden.

Leisure
You’ll find great shops and restaurants in the town centre, while Pirate Pete’s on the Ayr Seafront is brilliant for families looking for indoor or outdoor fun. Spend a sunny day in the funpark or playing mini golf, or head inside for rainy day entertainment including soft play, Laser Storm and more.

Culzean Castle
Just 13 miles outside the town, Culzean Castle and Country Park is ideal for a day out. Dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the Firth of Clyde, the castle is a gem of luxurious 18th century style surrounded by 600 acres of lush green gardens and peaceful woodland paths.
