The County of Devon

A National Park that extends for miles flanked by stunning riviera coastlines define the southwest county of Devon.

Countryside
Rolling hills with thatched cottages dotted over green fields showcase the beautiful countryside of this area. Wander through the villages, stopping off for a cream tea with oven warm scones, sticky strawberry jam and dollops of clotted cream.

Coast
Head to the coast with dramatic cliff edged bays and long sandy beaches. The traditional English Riviera is on the south coast displaying elegant Georgian towns like Torquay and in the north large sand dune beaches sweep along the coast. Devon’s beaches are frequently voted among the top beaches in Britain.

Activities
The green countryside is a great place to go cycling and the Tarka Trail, based on the route of Tarka the Otter from the famous book, is a great place to cycle with 180 miles of path to cycle.
Off road quad biking, rock climbing, coasteering, theme parks and watching sheep race are among some of the other activities available in Devon.

So whether it be scaling the cliffs of the bay or the relaxing on the red sands of Torbay, Devon has it all.
