Lake District National Park

A Lasting Impression
Rugged peaks that pierce the clouds, tranquil valleys where streams meander and lots of fresh air. The Lake District leaves a lasting impression on all who visit.

Walking
Hosting 885 square miles of National Park, 16 crystal clear lakes and England’s highest mountains, hikers will be in their element.
There are also many slow country walks where you can spot sheep on the mountainside, red squirrels jumping in the trees and of course have a refreshing break at a remote tea shop.

Things to do
Enjoy a cruise on one of the many lakes, educate yourself in museums of local history, be enticed by some lakeland shopping or maybe excite yourself with a trip deep into a preserved slate mine, the possibilities are endless as there is so much to do here.

Inspiration
The Lake District has inspired many, from Wordsworth’s poetry to Wainwright’s walking guides and Ruskin’s writings to Beatrix Potter’s books. Come visit and experience it all.
