RESERVATIONS & TRAINS

Reservations

The easiest, convenient and most stress free way to travel is to reserve a seat in advance of travel.

Making Seat Reservations in advance

Seat Reservations can be made in advance through ACPRail.com, one of our BritRail Suppliers own websites. This website allows you to book seat reservations in advance for a small fee and gives you the peace of mind you will be on the train you require and if travelling with two or more people, that you will be seated close to each other.

Making Seat Reservations at a station

Alternatively, you can make seat reservations at any National Rail ticket office free of charge when in Britain. Many customers do this as soon as they arrive in Britain for whichever day they need their reservation for. There is, however, an element of risk if you wait to reserve your seats until you arrive in Britain. Some high-speed trains can get very busy and even full, especially during peak times or if there are special events. For example the East Coast route between London – York – Edinburgh can become very popular during peak times. So we would recommend obtaining your high-speed InterCity reservations in advance of travelling to Britain. This way you can guarantee your space on the trains you want and that you are sitting close to each other if travelling with two or more people together.

If you are making a reservation at a station in Britian before your travel date, you will need to present your BritRail Pass as proof that you hold a valid ticket but you do not need to validate the Pass, unless you are travelling that day or your Pass has already started.

Making Sleeper Reservations
